Derbyshire has Officially Opened!
I want to start out this post with a pre -warning to all who read, that it is 3 a.m. as I am writing this. All who know me well, know that I have trouble sleeping and tonight is no exception even though we just had the most amazing first day of business at Derbyshire.
These days it seems like businesses have to be so careful with what they post, who they follow, and what they say for fear they may offend someone. As a business owner, I fear I may get a bad review on google or yelp. I fear someone will post something on social media that isn't true and shed a negative light on a piece of me that I have worked so hard to make good. I am sure Derbyshire will get negative reviews once in a while and it probably will not be on it's A game all the time, but I hope those reviews and days are few and far between.
Today though, I want to give a "review" of my customers. I know this is a Men's store, so all the sappy stuff should be more on the "down low" but I have to say how lucky I am to have such an amazing group of followers and supporters! The vibe and love I felt in that store last night from everyone was incredible. I have met some long time friends through my stores over the years, and tonight I met some amazing customers that I can't wait to get to know better.
I have worked and worried a lot about the selections I have chosen to bring into the store. I am sure over the next few months, as I learn more about what my customers are looking for, the selections may change or evolve. But last night's response was magical. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
I also felt so much love and support from my fellow employees. Nights like this remind me of how lucky I am to have such a great group of people to work with. I couldn't do this without them. They are so dedicated and work so hard for these stores. I am truly blessed!
Sooo....day one is in the books for Derbyshire! I couldn't imagine a better opening day. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
